From 1905 ha has participated in exhibitions in Penza, including the Wreath-Stephanos, the Link, Izdebski’s Salons, MTKh (Moscow Fellowship of Artists). Tha artist was one of the organizers of the Jack of Diamonds group (1910) and participated in exhibitions of the World of Art group (from 1911). He has taught at the SVOMAS (Free Workshops) in 1918-1920, VKhUTEMAS / VKhUTEIN (High State Artistic and Technical Workshops / High State Art Technical Institute) and MIII (Moscow Institute of Fine Arts) in 1919-1943. The artist was a a member of AKhRR (Association of Artist of Revolutionary Russia) from 1926, and OMKh (Society of Moscow Artists) from 1928. His major retrospective was from Moscow, Leningrad (1987).
